Class Description

Get razzled and dazzled in the glitzy world of cabaret. Think bright lights, big city – Cabaret Showgirl will take you straight to the bustling nightlife of Broadway or Las Vegas. This course will introduce you to the glamour, fantasy and playfulness that Showgirls are renowned for, just like in the Moulin Rouge. Students will learn a beginner level choreographed routine that draws on traditional elements of can-can and latin styles of dance. Learn foundational troupe skills like canons, formations and line work while adorned in feather headpieces and glitter. Cabaret Showgirl promises fun and upbeat music that will take you straight to the Las Vegas strip, without ever leaving Wollondilly! This class does not include elements of striptease. **Low Heels with ankle strap recommended** *Showgirl students will be presented with the opportunity to perform and/or have their routine recorded at the completion of the term. *Performances and recordings are purely optional and is the choice of each individual Showgirl
